Dear Friends in Christ,
Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me”. As Christians we proclaim, in faith, the triumph of Jesus Christ over death. Our faith in Jesus gives us the hope that we will one day be together with our loved ones who have died. During the Catholic Rite of Christian Burial we gather as followers of Christ, and members of the Christian Community, to listen to readings from sacred scripture, receive Christ in his Body and Blood, and live the hope that is ours in Christ. We believe that our prayers, especially at the Mass offered for our beloved deceased, will assist them on their journey to God. The Funeral Mass continues our love and care for our loved one who has died. As you prepare to celebrate the Rite of Christian Burial, you are invited to make use of our parish website which is designed to assist you in your planning. We encourage family and friends to participate in this celebration so as to make this liturgy personal and memorable. Our pastoral staff will be happy to meet with you and assist you in any way.
